Block Party!

While Brooks Koepka won the Wanamaker Trophy, it was Michael Block a PGA Professional who stole the whole show at the PGA Championship.  What a week and what a Sunday finish!  As I sat watching the final few holes, it was easy to root for Michael, and what a finish it was.

As a PGA Professional, this is a moment we all dream of; one of his mid-week interviews was the best.  "He didn't want to make a living on tour and have to make a putt to be able to pay his mortgage, but he wanted to still play golf for a living; the PGA of America gave him that opportunity to obtain a stable living and still have an opportunity to compete at the National level."

Michael, like the other twenty PGA Professionals that played in the PGA Championship qualified through the National Professional Championship.  To qualify for the national championship, each PGA Section has their Section Championship or qualifier at the local level.  Any competitive PGA Professional can easily look at Michael and say that could be any of us, because we have this amazing opportunity by the PGA of America to be able to qualify for the PGA Championship and compete against the world's best.  One of the best benefits about becoming a PGA Member.
