Time Away is time well spent

I spent the better part of the last two weeks on the west coast travelling to the PGA Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, and then joined by my family for a trip up to the Grand Canyon and then further west to Las Vegas.  Each year, I usually take these few weeks in November to take some time away with the family and do some travelling.  It's a much needed break after a long and successful season.

Some insights I would like to share:

First I attended the National PGA Annual Meeting.  I serve as an Officer for the Philadelphia PGA Section and it's always a privilege to serve the Association and to travel with my fellow officers to represent the Philadelphia Area.  I always get re-energized by spending time with my peers, and there were some great topics discussed.  If you have the time, take a look at the video below for a look into our keynote speaker, it was quite the presentation!

Next up, my family flew out later in the week and we celebrated my son Chase's 11th birthday (the oldest of my three).  Together we travelled up to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas.  It was awesome quality time that we don't get together all that often.  The line of the trip came from my six year old, after checking into our hotel and seeing a casino floor for the first time:  "Dad, when can we play in the arcade?  I brought my arcade card."

In the next few weeks, I'll be bringing up some new Rules of Golf Changes, Holiday Shopping Guides, some updates on the Master Plan, as well as plans and policies for the winter months with mat usage.
