Olympic Golf? Olympic Golf!

I don't know about any of you, but I haven't watched a whole lot of Professional Golf this year, and honestly last year as well.  The whole LIV vs PGA Tour debate just doesn't make golf interesting enough for me to watch.  The British Open is really my favorite tournament of the year, but I even only watched a few minutes of the whole weekend.

It seems as though at every PGA Tour broadcast there are questions about LIV vs PGA Tour, and how big the purse these guys are playing for, or which golfer is going to get paid next to "jump ship", etc, etc.

No one talks about victories, trophies, jackets, or winning anymore.  Take a look at Scottie, who is having a Tiger-esque year.  Are you more likely to know how many tournaments he's won or how much money he's won?  Google "Scottie Scheffler PGA Tour", and the mot asked questions are how much he's earned.

So now we turn to Olympic Golf.  This tournament was the most golf I've watched all year.  It was interesting and exciting to watch the best golfers from every country try and win an Olympic Medal.  There was no talk about the professionals didn't want to wear a hat, or didn't like the uniform fit, or wanted to wear their own sponsorship apparel.

There was great, competitive golf and they were all playing to win, (or finish Top 3, honestly), but still.  They were playing for pride, for their own game, and for their country, to win.  Don't think we saw Scottie get emotional after winning over $10 million this year, but he broke down when he won a priceless Gold Medal.
